A New Direction

Dear Editor,

This past election, Arizona’s voters signaled that we wanted a new direction from our lawmakers, away from the fringe politics of the previous administration. Thankfully, Democratic leadership has refreshingly reprioritized the issues that truly matter to Arizonans. Instead of election denialism and ballot access restrictions, our leaders have focused on expanding benefits for veterans and getting fentanyl off our streets.

Yet, we are still forced to deal with the consequences of the former administration’s actions. The regressive politics touted by Brnovich and Ducey have since encouraged our General Assembly to waste time and resource’s investigating conspiratorial allegations of social media censorship.

As Arizona’s top leaders are baselessly scrutinized for communicating with social media companies, we are reminded of the anti-tech diatribes of the former Attorney General that entrapped our state’s current administration into frivolous, losing multistate lawsuits.

I am grateful that Arizona’s leadership has refocused our politics on the things that truly matter to the lives of everyday Arizonans, steering us away from the senseless policies of the past administration.
